Gorky Film Studio and fashion historian Alexander Vasiliev present the documentary "The Cloth of Time"

• Fashion expert Alexander Vasiliev will guide the viewer through the exhibition «Time and Things. Historical costume in the cinema» and will present authentic suits for such films as «The Anna Cross», «The Youth of Peter the Great», «The Red and The Black», «Humiliated and Insulted», «The Hero of Our Time» and many others. 
  
  Creating a historical film is a complex and meticulous process, largely a reconstruction of past eras. Historical costumes, which weretypical for the Russian fashion of the late XVII – early XX century were created by the masters of the film studio in the realities of the Soviet era. It is difficult to overestimate their creative contribution as artists and as technology keepers for the national cinema. Today, this unique collection, striking for its preservation, fine hand-made and rare materials, is available to everyone!
